An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdülhamid Han in the 4th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Mürsel Okboğa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdülhamid Han in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mürsel Okboğa saved Galatasaray from getting behind. When BEŞİKTAŞ's Abdülhamid Han in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galatasaray's goalie prevented a goal. Hüseyin Rahmi Samim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onuralp Ekincioğlu in the 16th minute of the match. When Galatasaray's Arkın Terzioğlu in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Abdülhamid Han fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mürsel Okboğa having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞ's goal looked a bit too open when Kenan Tülün came free, but Hüseyin Rahmi Samim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdülhamid Han who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Mürsel Okboğa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After the first half Galatasaray were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdülhamid Han to make the kick off. With a little luck, BEŞİKTAŞ's Hüseyin Rahmi Samim got control of the ball when Hayrettin Sarı tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Abdülhamid Han managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BEŞİKTAŞ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdülhamid Han was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 minutes, Hayrettin Sarı mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray and the BEŞİKTAŞ players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Abdülhamid Han quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, BEŞİKTAŞ's Fuat Selman got a free kick in the 75th minute. BEŞİKTAŞ's Hüseyin Rahmi Samim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save BEŞİKTAŞ from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞ's goal looked a bit too open when Onuralp Ekincioğlu came free, but Hüseyin Rahmi Samim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Galatasaray's Hayrettin Sarı nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hüseyin Rahmi Samim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cihat Okhan during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Cihat Okhan hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdülhamid Han in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mürsel Okboğa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 minutes of play, BEŞİKTAŞ's Abdülhamid Han made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mürsel Okboğa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mürsel Okboğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdülhamid Han, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Mürsel Okboğa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdülhamid Han's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galatasaray had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
