Galatasaray's Onuralp Ekincioğlu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mürsel Okboğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinçer Akbaba in the 35th minute of play. Arkın Terzioğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yusuf Bahadır Tancan having to make a save. Yusuf Bahadır Tancan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onuralp Ekincioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Arkın Terzioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinçer Akbaba was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Onuralp Ekincioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Bahadır Tancan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 played minutes FC KOZAN got a freekick which was hit by Meriç Erbelgin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onuralp Ekincioğlu in the 57th minute of play forced FC KOZAN's goalkeeper Yusuf Bahadır Tancan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arkın Terzioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Yusuf Bahadır Tancan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Onuralp Ekincioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Bahadır Tancan having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Onuralp Ekincioğlu made a precise shot to the right of Yusuf Bahadır Tancan. FC KOZAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 78th minute, Arkın Terzioğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 82 played minutes FC KOZAN got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Göktuğ Demiray. Galatasaray's Aşır Kuman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC KOZAN. In the 85th minute, Onuralp Ekincioğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Galatasaray's Arkın Terzioğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC KOZAN's Orbay Salikbey got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Arkın Terzioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Onuralp Ekincioğlu in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yusuf Bahadır Tancan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in FC KOZAN's zone, Onuralp Ekincioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusuf Bahadır Tancan came out of the goal and Onuralp Ekincioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the game, Arkın Terzioğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Yusuf Bahadır Tancan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galatasaray had played much better football throughout.
