Arkın Terzioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck made a huge save. Hamit Koryürek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mürsel Okboğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürhan Ünsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The Thierry Emry FC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Thierry Emry FC's Hamit Koryürek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 20 minutes into the match, Kong Sen Ting notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Galatasaray's Mürsel Okboğa. Mürsel Okboğa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Hamit Koryürek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thierry Emry FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamit Koryürek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mürsel Okboğa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Kong Sen Ting's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mürsel Okboğa was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. If Gürhan Ünsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kong Sen Ting struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. The Galatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mürsel Okboğa should have stopped the shot. Thierry Emry FC's Anıl Fırat got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hamit Koryürek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mürsel Okboğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamit Koryürek in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamit Koryürek was the one to do the kick off. When Hamit Koryürek came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Thierry Emry FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamit Koryürek couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray's goalkeeper Mürsel Okboğa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thierry Emry FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mustafa Haydar Sağan in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Hamit Koryürek took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Mürsel Okboğa to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Vigil Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mürsel Okboğa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. In the 71st minute, Şakir Salti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thierry Emry FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. If Şakir Salti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vigil Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Mürsel Okboğa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mürsel Okboğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şakir Salti in the 76th minute of play. Mürsel Okboğa was a little too slow when Şakir Salti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-11. If Kong Sen Ting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Thierry Emry FC's Şakir Salti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. The Galatasaray fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Thierry Emry FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
