Maden JK's Ahmet Hamdi Kurman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şensoy Özpolat in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şensoy Özpolat in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Hamdi Kurman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maden JK's Rıfat İlkan got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sezen Orsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sufi Cantekin in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Sadettin Korhan could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Sezen Orsel however easily saved by the left post. Şensoy Özpolat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Hamdi Kurman. Maden JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Şensoy Özpolat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendak-ka Dukka's supporters rose to their feet, but Şensoy Özpolat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Hamdi Kurman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Merih Yarlık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şensoy Özpolat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Yahya Koryürek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Hamdi Kurman having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Mendak-ka Dukka got a freekick which was hit by Nuratay Pektaşi. In the 53rd minute, Rıfat İlkan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sezen Orsel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Merih Yarlık sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Maden JK defense, Ahmet Yahya Koryürek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Hamdi Kurman. The Maden JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Hamdi Kurman should have stopped the shot.
