Yavuz Selim Cömert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alper Eyüp having to interfere. In the 14th minute Ahmet Hakan Kapar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alper Eyüp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Hakan Kapar in the 15th minute of play forced Bafraspor's goalkeeper Alper Eyüp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alper Eyüp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Hakan Kapar in the 19th minute of play. Tuncay Özil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ahmet Hakan Kapars short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Alper Eyüp to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alper Eyüp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yavuz Selim Cömert in the 36th minute. Sungurhan Demirkan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Bafraspor's Alper Eyüp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hakan Kapar in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee ignored Bafraspor's protests and gave Nurtekin Müslim a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bafraspor getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nurtekin Müslim hit a great ball. Ahmet Hakan Kapar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nurtekin Müslim was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
