Yakup Kadri Özinal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Okanay Serhun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferman Akburak struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Baransel Tanbay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rumeli. Babür Tunçöven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Baransel Tanbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdulaziz Uraza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Okanay Serhun having to make a save. 19 minutes into the match, TRABZON SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Babür Tunçöven came free, but Baransel Tanbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Babür Tunçöven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baransel Tanbay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. TRABZON SPOR were furious when Aycan Satvet was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 24 minutes into the game, one of TRABZON SPOR:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Rumeli a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Orbay Subutay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of TRABZON SPOR's Baransel Tanbay. 0-2. Baransel Tanbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferman Akburak in the 35th minute of the match. Bayındır Sezer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baransel Tanbay. TRABZON SPOR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in TRABZON SPOR's zone, Babür Tunçöven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baransel Tanbay came out of the goal and Babür Tunçöven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atahan Köksal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. TRABZON SPOR's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Kıvanç Saver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

TRABZON SPOR's Abdulaziz Uraza got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babür Tunçöven in the 62nd minute of play forced TRABZON SPOR's goalkeeper Baransel Tanbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baransel Tanbay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babür Tunçöven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th match minute, Rumeli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Refik Sönmezalp to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Bayındır Sezer in the 72nd minute really tested Baransel Tanbay's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 73 minutes into the match, TRABZON SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Babür Tunçöven came free, but Baransel Tanbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Okanay Serhun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Hasan Özgener in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, TRABZON SPOR's Abdulaziz Uraza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Okanay Serhun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After having played for 86 minutes, Babür Tunçöven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumeli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Babür Tunçöven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baransel Tanbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babür Tunçöven, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Babür Tunçöven was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
