Spectators: 6061 (Terracing: 4200, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Bakkalköy's Harun Kıvılcım started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Bakkalköy's Harun Kıvılcım sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haluk Tanın narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Maltepe got a freekick which was hit by Duran Serkut. Haluk Tanın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osman Nuri Özdil in the 14th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Alphan Honazlı took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Haluk Tanın to make any attempt to save it. After 20 played minutes Bakkalköy got a freekick which was hit by Cevher Taib. 22 minutes into the game, Maltepe's Çelikan Yağızhan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Nasir Ulusan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bakkalköy's Ahmet Nasir Ulusan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Turan Temel in the 27th minute of play. Fikri Tun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Haluk Tanın made a huge save. After having played for 32 minutes, Hüseyin Turan Temel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maltepe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hüseyin Turan Temel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Hızır Buyruk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bakkalköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maltepe the free kick. Hızır Buyruk kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Haluk Tanın made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Fikri Tun sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onur Arıhan in the 44th minute of play forced Bakkalköy's goalkeeper Ahmet Nasir Ulusan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Onur Arıhan to make the kick off. Ahmet Nasir Ulusan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Onur Arıhan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 53 minute of play. In the 57th minute, Çelikan Yağızhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Nasir Ulusan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Onur Arıhan got free with Ahmet Nasir Ulusan in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Onur Arıhan made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Nasir Ulusan. Bakkalköy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 79th minute Harun Kıvılcım shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haluk Tanın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ekrem Erkılınç hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Haluk Tanın showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinçer Üstündağ, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harun Kıvılcım in the 84th minute of play forced Maltepe's goalkeeper Haluk Tanın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maltepe played a much better game than Bakkalköy and deserved their victory. The Bakkalköy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
