After a rather tough play, Arskadir's Sedat Oktay got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Manchester City FC's goalkeeper Şensoy Yücealp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olcay Mertoğlu. In the 20th minute Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ensar Muren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orhun Şanalp during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arkın Kuluk kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When Süruri Kose came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Manchester City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Süruri Kose couldn't finish the play. After the first half Manchester City FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ziya Onur Şensal to make the kick off. Süruri Kose struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Ensar Muren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester City FC. The audience was convinced that Harun Oymen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ensar Muren was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 53rd match minute, Manchester City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aktaç Bektaş to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Arskadir's Ensar Muren got control of the ball when Süruri Kose tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ensar Muren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Süruri Kose in the 60th minute. Olcay Mertoğlu scored 1-4 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şensoy Yücealp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arskadir's Ensar Muren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harun Oymen in the 64th minute of play. Arskadir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester City FC the free kick. Harun Okdağ kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ensar Muren. Arskadir's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ensar Muren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harun Oymen's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Ensar Muren made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Manchester City FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Arskadir's Ensar Muren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harun Oymen in the 94th minute of play. Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Manchester City FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arskadir throughout the match.
