The referee ignored Takar Geçerus's protests and gave Erkin Darga a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Takar Geçerus's Erkin Darga got a free kick in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Takar Geçerus defense, Yetkin Zahir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rahmi Böke. The Takar Geçerus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rahmi Böke should have stopped the shot. Takar Geçerus's Rahmi Böke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Takar Geçerus from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the game, Takar Geçerus's Ron Drake nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cenk Has made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Hatay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Takar Geçerus were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Karadeniz Erkılıç made the kick off in the second half. Rahmi Böke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yetkin Zahir went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After 57 played minutes Hatay got a freekick which was hit by Yetkin Zahir. Şadi Saner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Cenk Has made a huge save. In the 66th minute Ahmet Kutsi Özay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cenk Has saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Hatay's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Kutsi Özay came free, but Cenk Has reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Kutsi Özay in the 81st minute of play forced Hatay's goalkeeper Cenk Has to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ron Drake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cenk Has having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Takar Geçerus's goal looked a bit too open when Karadeniz Erkılıç came free, but Rahmi Böke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ron Drake's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cenk Has read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Hatay succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Takar Geçerus had controlled the match.
