With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hurşit Tunçaslan in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harun Türkmen saved Trabzonspor from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saadettin Rusuhi in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovânio Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Rıfat Baykal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes of play Ankara's Asım Arif Demirkan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Geovânio Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Rusu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Trabzonspor's Saadettin Rusuhi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovânio Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Trabzonspor players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
