The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bircan Alptekin during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Gürsel Bal took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Haldun Başaran to make any attempt to save it. 23 minutes into the match, Heybeliada's Mehmet Toraman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haldun Başaran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Haldun Başaran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 25th match minute, Heybeliada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erman Atacan to maneuver through the defense. Haldun Başaran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gürsel Bal went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, Gürsel Bal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Haldun Başaran, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürsel Bal in the 35th minute of play forced izmir spor ny's goalkeeper Haldun Başaran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haldun Başaran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erman Atacan in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Heybeliada's Songurhan Totuk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Songurhan Totuk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Heybeliada protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Songurhan Totuk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Erdal Sara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heybeliada's supporters rose to their feet, but Erdal Sara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haldun Başaran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Birant Sartık in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aykutalp Eker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Batuhan Tansan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Erdal Sara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haldun Başaran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Heybeliada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özmen Akgün to maneuver through the defense. İlyas Helvacı kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ceyhun Gariboğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ceyhun Gariboğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Semi Arısoy during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Heybeliada got a freekick which was hit by Erdal Sara. Nejat Aytolun hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. izmir spor ny's Haldun Başaran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batuhan Tansan in the 92nd minute of play. Haldun Başaran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semi Arısoy in the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Heybeliada players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
