The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Horaţiu Ciutacu kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Gheorghe Zdrobău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilgaz Okgüç having to interfere. A collision led to ASKON PROJE getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Abdi Dede hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, ARNAVUTKÖY's Horaţiu Ciutacu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilgaz Okgüç narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uygur Boyraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Fernando Kahn made a huge save. The supporters of ARNAVUTKÖY booed when ASKON PROJE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. ARNAVUTKÖY's supporters rose to their feet, but Cihat Esay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilgaz Okgüç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Önder Işık kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ARNAVUTKÖY's Ief Vanden Bossche got a free kick in the 71st minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Menderes Eracar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASKON PROJE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Menderes Eracar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Menderes Eracar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, ASKON PROJE's Eray Özgunes got a free kick in the 75th minute. Gheorghe Zdrobău took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilgaz Okgüç. Ilgaz Okgüç dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 79 played minutes ASKON PROJE got a freekick which was hit by Eray Özgunes. If Orbay Kunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute.
