The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Başaran Taştekin charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Başaran Taştekin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Bursag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Başaran Taştekin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bursag getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Taci Afak hit a great ball. Ryan Giggs struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Göktan Salur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GÜMELİSPOR. In the 12th minute, Ryan Giggs made a precise shot to the right of Göktan Salur. Bursag's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bursag's Göktan Salur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Giggs in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, GÜMELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Gencay Ballı came free, but Vecdi Yurday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göktan Salur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Canor in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Canor in the 47th minute of play forced Bursag's goalkeeper Göktan Salur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryan Giggs made a kick off. Ryan Giggss short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Göktan Salur to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 53rdth minute of the game Esteve Canor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bursag's Göktan Salur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Göktan Salur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Esteve Canor showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Göktan Salur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Canor in the 61st minute of the match. Göktan Salur made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Alexei Perju sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, Bursag's goal looked a bit too open when Alexei Perju came free, but Göktan Salur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Lokman Turhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vecdi Yurday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ryan Giggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GÜMELİSPOR's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
