The audience was convinced that Fausto Magalhães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marek Smolak was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Marek Smolak came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray's Mümtazer Hatip. But to his dismay, Mümtazer Hatip quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Marek Smolak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mümtazer Hatip in the 28th minute of the match. Fausto Magalhães succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Mümtazer Hatip scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marek Smolak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marek Smolak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tolunay Uzsan during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
