With an all-out effort, Orlando Pirates's 罗星斌 threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jair Arizmendi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 8th minute, Kazimierz Kapinos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 罗星斌. The goal made the score 1-0. 罗星斌 made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Jair Arizmendi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Orlando Pirates's Recep Zübeyir got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Joakim Alebäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Orlando Pirates booed when Dogubeyazit JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Can Turatekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes Orlando Pirates got a freekick which was hit by Özer Yılğıralp. When Dogubeyazit JK's Benicio Vigil in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Orlando Pirates's goalie prevented a goal. 罗星斌 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özer Yılğıralp in the 27th minute of the match. Benedicto Zabalo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Dogubeyazit JK's goalkeeper 罗星斌 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ömür Sabuncu. In the 34th minute Cihangir Ünsaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berkem Bayındır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dogubeyazit JK's 罗星斌 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömür Sabuncu in the 35th minute of play. 罗星斌 came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Orlando Pirates's Jair Arizmendi. But to his dismay, Jair Arizmendi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, Orlando Pirates's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Vigil came free, but Berkem Bayındır reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dogubeyazit JK's 罗星斌 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Dogubeyazit JK from getting a goal against them. Özer Yılğıralp charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Özer Yılğıralp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Orlando Pirates got a freekick which was hit by Özer Yılğıralp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Salvatore in the 44th minute of play forced Orlando Pirates's goalkeeper Berkem Bayındır to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Cihangir Ünsaç notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Orlando Pirates's Berkem Bayındır. Berkem Bayındır was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the match, Rosendo Salvatore dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Berkem Bayındır, 2-2. Özer Yılğıralp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 罗星斌 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömür Sabuncu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Orlando Pirates's Berkem Bayındır got control of the ball when Benicio Vigil tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Vigil in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Berkem Bayındır saved Orlando Pirates from getting behind. Dogubeyazit JK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joakim Alebäck in the 62nd minute. Orlando Pirates's Berkem Bayındır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cihangir Ünsaç in the 63rd minute of play. Cihangir Ünsaç did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Berkem Bayındır 63 minutes into the match. Berkem Bayındır made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benicio Vigil in the 67th minute. Berkem Bayındır made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Benicio Vigil sent off a good shot on target. Berkem Bayındır took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Salvatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berkem Bayındır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Salvatore in the 78th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Kerimhan Tanju put in a rough tackle. In the 79th minute, one of Dogubeyazit JK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dogubeyazit JK. Özer Yılğıralp scored 4-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 罗星斌, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benicio Vigil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Berkem Bayındır when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benicio Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Berkem Bayındır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joakim Alebäck kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dogubeyazit JK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Orlando Pirates.
