Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Celil Ahid started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tayyip Mesut during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rio Puerta booed when ESKİŞEHİRSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tayyip Mesut didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes ESKİŞEHİRSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Demircan Irmak. Müfit Tayuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demircan Irmak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Celil Ahid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Abdulvahit Tunç came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the ESKİŞEHİRSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdulvahit Tunç couldn't finish the play. Müfit Tayuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demircan Irmak in the 23rd minute of play. Demircan Irmak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rio Puerta's Mehmet Özbala got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to ESKİŞEHİRSPOR getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sami Işık hit a great ball. If Celil Ahid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes, Celil Ahid made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Rio Puerta's Müfit Tayuk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rio Puerta's Gazi Acarbey managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Battal Özguc in the 46 minute of the game. With a little luck, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Okan Akdoğan got control of the ball when Mehmet Özbala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mehmet Özbala was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Gazi Acarbey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rio Puerta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESKİŞEHİRSPOR the free kick. After a rather tough play, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Erkan Başok got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Mehmet Özbala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okan Akdoğan having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celil Ahid in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Müfit Tayuk saved Rio Puerta from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Behçet Naşit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Okan Akdoğan was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Mehmet Özbala blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Okan Akdoğan having to make a save. Okan Akdoğan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Özbala in the 65th minute of play. If Abdulvahit Tunç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Demircan Irmak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Müfit Tayuk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Behçet Naşit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Okan Akdoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Sami Işık mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESKİŞEHİRSPOR and the Rio Puerta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Sami Işık got a free kick in the 71st minute. With his leg Müfit Tayuk managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Celil Ahid fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Müfit Tayuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celil Ahid in the 77th minute of the match. Müfit Tayuk made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Abdulvahit Tunç sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Celil Ahid dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. During the 85th minute of the match Gazi Acarbey completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gazi Acarbey a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 86 played minutes Rio Puerta got a freekick which was hit by Gazi Acarbey. Müfit Tayuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celil Ahid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Behçet Naşit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Müfit Tayuk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celil Ahid in the 96th minute. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR played a much better game than Rio Puerta and deserved their victory. The Rio Puerta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
