Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) FC Rumble's Lütfü İlkan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hilmi Ayyıldız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yıldıray Temur having to interfere. Yıldıray Temur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hilmi Ayyıldız in the 34th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hilmi Ayyıldız kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yıldıray Temur. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Asım Arif Şimşektürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seçkin Zafer, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Van's zone, Lütfü İlkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asım Arif Şimşektürk came out of the goal and Lütfü İlkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute of the game, Bayram Temizkal landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 47 minutes, Lütfü İlkan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rumble and the Van players grew even worse after the yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Başaran Mahşer to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seçkin Zafer in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Asım Arif Şimşektürk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emin Gök's late challenge caught a Van's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emin Gök helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Rumble's Emin Gök got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Van's Başaran Mahşer got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
