In the 5th minute, Hakkı Umar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to ZONGULDAK getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Hakkı Umar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seçkin Zafer in the 14th minute of play forced ZONGULDAK's goalkeeper Mehmet Oğuz Özerk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ZONGULDAK's Ahmet Bülent Sezmen got a free kick in the 15th minute. Yıldıray Temur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Hamdi Tuğkun in the 18th minute of play. Mehmet Oğuz Özerk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lütfü İlkan in the 20th minute. In the 23rd match minute, FC Rumble was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ünal Acartürk to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the game, ZONGULDAK's Kubilay Tercan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yıldıray Temur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of ZONGULDAK booed when FC Rumble was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lütfü İlkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kubilay Tercan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehmet Oğuz Özerk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emin Gök in the 33rd minute of play. Yıldıray Temur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Hamdi Tuğkun in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, FC Rumble's goal looked a bit too open when Kubilay Tercan came free, but Yıldıray Temur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Hakkı Dengizer in the 41st minute of play forced FC Rumble's goalkeeper Yıldıray Temur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yıldıray Temur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kubilay Tercan in the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Kubilay Tercan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yıldıray Temur. FC Rumble's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kubilay Tercan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half ZONGULDAK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kubilay Tercan made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes FC Rumble got a freekick which was hit by Bektaş Tigin. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Hazar Uzkan put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of FC Rumble:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ZONGULDAK:s goal. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, ZONGULDAK's Ahmet Bülent Sezmen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Yıldıray Temur. Mehmet Oğuz Özerk came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Rumble's Bektaş Tigin. But to his dismay, Bektaş Tigin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Bektaş Tigin's late challenge caught a ZONGULDAK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bektaş Tigin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ZONGULDAK booed when FC Rumble was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bektaş Tigin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yıldıray Temur came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by ZONGULDAK's Kubilay Tercan. But to his dismay, Kubilay Tercan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 2-5 became the score in the 84th minute when Kubilay Tercan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mehmet Oğuz Özerk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seçkin Zafer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Rumble's goalkeeper Yıldıray Temur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Kubilay Tercan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
