An unexpectedly hard shot by Çağan Dervişoğlu in the 3rd minute of play forced Yesilköy's goalkeeper Okanay Kutlay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Okanay Kutlay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Semi Şahbey in the 5th minute. Okanay Kutlay made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Nikola Tesla sent off a good shot on target. Okanay Kutlay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çağan Dervişoğlu in the 14th minute of the match. Nikola Tesla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Okanay Kutlay came out and tried to block the shot, but Nikola Tesla slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. If Semi Şahbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Semi Şahbey. When Semi Şahbey fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fenerbahçe's protests and gave Semi Şahbey a yellow card for diving instead. Semi Şahbey hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Fenerbahçe's Semi Şahbey slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Okanay Kutlay. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. 33 minutes into the match, Yesilköy's goalkeeper Okanay Kutlay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Semi Şahbey. Nikola Tesla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Okanay Kutlay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Okanay Kutlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağan Dervişoğlu in the 36th minute of play. Nikola Tesla took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Okanay Kutlay. Okanay Kutlay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fenerbahçe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Behram Ekincioğlu was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Nikola Tesla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Okanay Kutlay. Yesilköy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikola Tesla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 62nd minute, Çağan Dervişoğlu made a precise shot to the right of Okanay Kutlay. Yesilköy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Okanay Kutlay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çağan Dervişoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Çağan Dervişoğlu in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Okanay Kutlay saved Yesilköy from getting behind. Okanay Kutlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semi Şahbey in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Yesilköy getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Demiralp Garipoğlu hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's Nikola Tesla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Okanay Kutlay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Nikola Tesla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Okanay Kutlay. Yesilköy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikola Tesla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Okanay Kutlay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semi Şahbey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fenerbahçe's Çağan Dervişoğlu in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yesilköy's goalie prevented a goal. In the 96th minute Nikola Tesla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okanay Kutlay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fenerbahçe were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Yesilköy for a fine match.
