After some careless play in the Samsun Karşıyaka FC defense, Bahri Oktar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Müslüm Kiray. The Samsun Karşıyaka FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Müslüm Kiray should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Ant Peyam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Deniz Akbaşak. Yüreğir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ant Peyam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, Ant Peyam notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Yüreğir's Deniz Akbaşak. Deniz Akbaşak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Müslüm Kiray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Sennrich in the 37th minute of play. Yüreğir's Deniz Akbaşak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ant Peyam in the 41st minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ant Peyam to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Samsun Karşıyaka FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akşemseddin Gencal to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Behçet Korgan notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Yüreğir's Deniz Akbaşak. Thanks to some nice moves Bahri Oktar could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Müslüm Kiray however easily saved by the left post. Pavel Nedvěd scored 5-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Müslüm Kiray, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Samsun Karşıyaka FC's goalkeeper Müslüm Kiray had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavel Nedvěd. In the 75th match minute, Yüreğir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orhan Veli Raif to maneuver through the defense. Pavel Nedvěd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Müslüm Kiray made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Yüreğir's Orhan Veli Raif got a free kick in the 79th minute. A collision led to Yüreğir getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Orhan Veli Raif hit a great ball. Müslüm Kiray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahri Oktar in the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Yüreğir got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Ediz Şanalp. When Ant Peyam came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Samsun Karşıyaka FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ant Peyam couldn't finish the play. If 顾强平 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Orhan Veli Raif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yüreğir's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
