After 33 minutes of play, Kurucaşilespor's Stig-Ove McNamara made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Müslüm Kiray was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uluç İnan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Müslüm Kiray having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig-Ove McNamara to make the kick off. With a little luck, Kurucaşilespor's Erkut Zor got control of the ball when Behçet Korgan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samsun Karşıyaka FC's Müslüm Kiray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezar Cernea in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ant Peyam kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erkut Zor. That made the score 1-2 in the 94 minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match, Ant Peyam tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erkut Zor saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 97th minute, Arda Ozan Zahir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samsun Karşıyaka FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
