Bilge Kağan Harzemşah charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Peker Tayyip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tayfun Şirvan in the 17th minute of play. Ahmet Davut Serbülend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Peker Tayyip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denizhan Akmanoğlu in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Çelikan Akay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of SAKARYA SK booed when Zengi Aslanları was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hulusi Çeliker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denizhan Akmanoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Çelikan Akay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tayfun Şirvan to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erdoğan Tokcan couldn't finish the play. Zengi Aslanları's Çelikan Akay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Zengi Aslanları from getting a goal against them. If Tayfun Şirvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
