In the 16th match minute, Taslicay SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugène Moissonnier to maneuver through the defense. Taslicay SK's Gökay Torhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vahdet Karaca in the 18th minute of play. Güray Sadreddins short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Mecnun Umurbay to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 23 minutes, Mustafa Birol Gümüş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taslicay SK and the Galatasaray FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gökay Torhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vahdet Karaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Galatasaray FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kaspar Bretzel in the 34th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Taslicay SK got a corner. Galatasaray FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rahim Saraç ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Taslicay SK's Rahim Saraç to fire away a dangerous shot which Mecnun Umurbay despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mecnun Umurbay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Güray Sadreddin in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the game, Vahdet Karaca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Šimun Vodušek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mecnun Umurbay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Güray Sadreddin's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. A collision led to Taslicay SK getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Yunus Uçbay hit a great ball. The supporters of Taslicay SK booed when Galatasaray FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Fatih Tekinay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mecnun Umurbay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Šimun Vodušek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Galatasaray FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Taslicay SK.
