Hamdullah Dalayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Yusuf Stegen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamdullah Dalayer went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 22 played minutes Pylopythia got a freekick which was hit by Hıncal Haşmetli. Ahmet Rıfat Acarer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semail Özbir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamdullah Dalayer in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yusuf Stegen saved San Diego FC from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Pylopythia's goal looked a bit too open when Dainius Bagdonas came free, but Ahmet Rıfat Acarer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosendo Balesio charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosendo Balesio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamdullah Dalayer was the one to do the kick off. San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save San Diego FC from getting a goal against them. Ahmet Rıfat Acarer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semail Özbir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Hamdullah Dalayer took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Yusuf Stegen to make any attempt to save it. Pylopythia's attentive Rene Romano managed to snatch the ball when Ahmet Ali Bekir made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Hamdullah Dalayer might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yusuf Stegen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hamdullah Dalayer ran back to his position shaking his head. San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save San Diego FC from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Ahmet Ali Bekir in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pylopythia's Rene Romano. In the 76th play minute Hamdullah Dalayer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Yusuf Stegen. 0-5. Hamdullah Dalayer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yusuf Stegen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Ahmet Rıfat Acarer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semail Özbir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamdullah Dalayer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Yusuf Stegen made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Hamdullah Dalayer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Hamdullah Dalayer came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Pylopythia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamdullah Dalayer couldn't finish the play. Pylopythia were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over San Diego FC's much stronger midfield.
