The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kajetan Orling in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ove Nordström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute Kajetan Orling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 played minutes Gladiators of Darkness got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Arumeel. Umut Akçakaya kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. İsmail Hakkı Ünver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Nordström having to interfere. The supporters of Gladiators of Darkness booed when Real Madrid FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sungur Şahbaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lennart Arumeel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berat Baliç lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Gladiators of Darkness's Berat Baliç got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Egemen Ünsaç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Egemen Ünsaç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ove Nordström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Eugeniusz Majkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Real Madrid FC's Afşin Yaban got control of the ball when Ziemowit Bendyk tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ziemowit Bendyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afşin Yaban having to interfere. Real Madrid FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
