The crowd rose to their feet as Semail Özbir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving İsa Zümer. İsa Zümer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Semail Özbir went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafettin İnan during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafettin İnan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Dainius Bagdonas put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of İsa Zümer. İsa Zümer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dainius Bagdonas, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute Jaroslaw Mierzejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İsa Zümer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, TRABZON's goal looked a bit too open when Semail Özbir came free, but İsa Zümer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. San Diego FC fully deserved thier win.
