Birsel Güler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet İlhan Sedat in the 4th minute of play. Michael Hegngaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Illimar Valgupera in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Giresunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Illimar Valgupera came free, but Michael Hegngaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Giresunspor's Michael Hegngaard got control of the ball when Aybars Maksum tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aybars Maksum's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michael Hegngaard firmly grabbed it by the left post. Süruri Tayman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Süruri Tayman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giresunspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Süruri Tayman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birsel Güler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michael Hegngaard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludomir Nakoneczny in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Süruri Tayman in the 28th minute of play forced GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ's goalkeeper Birsel Güler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Illimar Valgupera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Hegngaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giresunspor's Michael Hegngaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izidor Daskijević in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Giresunspor's Michael Hegngaard got control of the ball when Aybars Maksum tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Süruri Tayman made a precise shot to the right of Birsel Güler. GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Birsel Güler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Örjan Jonasson in the 39th minute of the match. Giresunspor's Örjan Jonasson got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Hegngaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Illimar Valgupera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Hegngaard came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ's Izidor Daskijević. But to his dismay, Izidor Daskijević quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Illimar Valgupera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Michael Hegngaard made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludomir Nakoneczny to strike the kick off in the second half. Michael Hegngaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Yahya Koçak in the 52nd minute of the match. Birsel Güler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet İlhan Sedat in the 53rd minute of play. Carsten Bont could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Birsel Güler made a huge save. A collision led to GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ahmet Çağrı İstikbal hit a great ball. Birsel Güler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Türker Türkoğlu in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Süruri Tayman in the 64th minute of play forced GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ's goalkeeper Birsel Güler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Illimar Valgupera in the 66th minute of play forced Giresunspor's goalkeeper Michael Hegngaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giresunspor's Michael Hegngaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Illimar Valgupera in the 71st minute of play. Michael Hegngaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomir Nakoneczny in the 73rd minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Giresunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Illimar Valgupera came free, but Michael Hegngaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Süruri Tayman got free with Birsel Güler in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Illimar Valgupera in the 83rd minute of play forced Giresunspor's goalkeeper Michael Hegngaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 87 minutes on the clock, Sezai Turkay commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ. Selami Mennan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Michael Hegngaard. 2-1. If Ahmet İlhan Sedat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Giresunspor players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GÖKBÖRÜ ϜϓſϞ.
