Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet İlhan Sedat in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Árpád Ferenc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute, Ahmet İlhan Sedat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Péter Káposztás in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Hegngaard saved Giresunspor from getting behind. Cezary Warka struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Michael Hegngaard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ACIBADEM FK. 16 minutes into the match, Giresunspor's goalkeeper Michael Hegngaard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kutluay Saru. Michael Hegngaard made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Batuğ Yılma sent off a good shot on target. Árpád Ferenc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Türker Türkoğlu in the 25th minute of play. Michael Hegngaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezary Warka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Árpád Ferenc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Süruri Tayman in the 28th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After some careless play in the Giresunspor defense, Cezary Warka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Hegngaard. The Giresunspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Hegngaard should have stopped the shot. It was Sezai Turkay who took care of the corner kick. 82 minutes into the match, Batuğ Yılma notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Giresunspor's Michael Hegngaard. Michael Hegngaard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Cezary Warka sped through Giresunspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Michael Hegngaard. Michael Hegngaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezary Warka in the 93rd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ACIBADEM FK fully deserved thier win.
