The referee ignored istanbul's protests and gave Saadettin Akar a yellow card for diving instead. Uğur Sayhan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ayberk Bahçeli came out and tried to block the shot, but Uğur Sayhan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Carlos França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nafiz Tuz got free with Ayberk Bahçeli in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ayberk Bahçeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saadettin Akar, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Avşar Spor were furious when Yiğit Durul was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 20th minute, one of Avşar Spor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avşar Spor. A collision led to istanbul getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bedrettin Kadi hit a great ball. Günalp İstikbal came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Avşar Spor's Carlos França. But to his dismay, Carlos França quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 39 played minutes Avşar Spor got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Bedri Tokdemir. Günalp İstikbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos França, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Avşar Spor's Ayberk Bahçeli got control of the ball when Nafiz Tuz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Saadettin Akar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ayberk Bahçeli. That made the score 3-1 in the 48 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uğur Sayhan to make the kick off. Avşar Spor's Ayberk Bahçeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nafiz Tuz in the 56th minute of play. Günalp İstikbal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos França in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos França in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Günalp İstikbal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Avşar Spor's Ayberk Bahçeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uğur Sayhan in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Carlos França left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avşar Spor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Carlos França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, istanbul's Selmi Nebahattin got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Yücel Kavi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Günalp İstikbal. istanbul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ayberk Bahçeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uğur Sayhan in the 86th minute of the match. Ayberk Bahçeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armağan Tekrim, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Avşar Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Uğur Sayhan came free, but Ayberk Bahçeli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. istanbul's Erman Barkın suffered a concussion after 97 minutes and had to leave the field.
