Merzifon's Igor Haikin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olcay Orkun Geçimoğlu in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilla Baykır in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Haikin saved Merzifon from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atilla Baykır in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Haikin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21stth minute of the game Atilla Baykır who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merzifon's Igor Haikin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Atilla Baykır notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Merzifon's Igor Haikin. Igor Haikin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Merzifon's Fetih Boysan got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Atilla Baykır got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atilla Baykır received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Igor Haikin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Atilla Baykır made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Merzifon's Igor Haikin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner led MEDUSA SK's Olcay Orkun Geçimoğlu to fire away a dangerous shot which Igor Haikin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 44th match minute, Merzifon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragıp Ilıca to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atilla Baykır to make the kick off. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Igor Haikin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. MEDUSA SK's Atilla Baykır got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuri Akel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragıp Ilıca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Haikin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aras Görkem Yalçıner in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as MEDUSA SK's Aras Görkem Yalçıner slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Igor Haikin. That made the score 0-5 after 64 minutes of play. After 68 played minutes MEDUSA SK got a freekick which was hit by Derviş Siddik. Merzifon's Abdulaziz Köksal got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to MEDUSA SK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Aras Görkem Yalçıner hit a great ball. Atilla Baykır's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Igor Haikin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th minute Mehmet Hakkı Akkın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Haikin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Ragıp Ilıca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MEDUSA SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
