The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Mustafa Oğuz Rasim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bumin Tamerk was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Alpay Adaş capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alpay Adaş really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baykam Okyar in the 27th minute of play forced Meset FK's goalkeeper Uygur Seyran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü were awarded a corner. Nihat Denizalp went to the cornerflag to take it. Bumin Tamerk made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Mustafa Oğuz Rasim sent off a good shot on target. Uygur Seyran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesur Başol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Meset FK defense, Cesur Başol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uygur Seyran. The Meset FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uygur Seyran should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Meset FK's Abay İlkser quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Baykam Okyar, made in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 54th minute Baykam Okyar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uygur Seyran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bumin Tamerk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Oğuz Rasim in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü's goal looked a bit too open when Derya Altınpınar came free, but Bumin Tamerk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gökberk Sabahaddin to maneuver through the defense. Alpay Adaş took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bumin Tamerk.
