Kemal Perkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patric Bierhoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafettin Bostan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Araklılı Avareler 1961's zone, Ferdi Coşan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kemal Perkin came out of the goal and Ferdi Coşan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Patric Bierhoff made a precise shot to the right of Kemal Perkin. Araklılı Avareler 1961's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. 59 minutes into the game, istanbulls's Alp Enginalp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kemal Perkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Göksel Canfeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybek Satıkbuğra, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Araklılı Avareler 1961's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Bierhoff came free, but Kemal Perkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haldun Özol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kemal Perkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Patric Bierhoff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kemal Perkin was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. Kemal Perkin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patric Bierhoff went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric Bierhoff in the 93rd minute of play forced Araklılı Avareler 1961's goalkeeper Kemal Perkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fatih Maradona kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the istanbulls players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
