The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sait Yalçıner charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Battal Gazi Olgunay was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Hortigosa in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Okaner Taran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Gencay Bostancıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Okaner Taran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sungurbey Armağan in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Pekin Satıbey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Okaner Taran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Asım Arif Hinoğlu went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The attack was good, but when Ahmet Bedri Tayman in the 98th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When the referee ended the match the Passenger players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
