Tacettin Revha scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hürkan İftihar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 1-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Fikri Cansun elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mustafa Oğuz Mülayim hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selmi Maksum in the 18th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Hürkan İftihar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sancar Aktemur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fikri Cansun, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR were furious when Adem Aslan was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 28th minute, one of GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR. In the 34th match minute, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Adamski to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's goal looked a bit too open when Fikri Cansun came free, but Sancar Aktemur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes Borussia Dortmund's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adam Adamski who took care of the corner kick. Adam Adamski made a great header on GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's corner, it was just that Borussia Dortmund's Hürkan İftihar managed to reach the ball for a save. Hürkan İftihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ibrahim Kutluay in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tacettin Revha in the 44th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Hürkan İftihar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tacettin Revha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tacettin Revha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Hürkan İftihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Adamski hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Sancar Aktemur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alemdar Erdemir's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tacettin Revha in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hürkan İftihar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ibrahim Kutluay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hürkan İftihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hürkan İftihar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kandemir Özdilek in the 63rd minute of play. After 68 played minutes GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR got a freekick which was hit by Selmi Maksum. A collision led to GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Alex De Souza hit a great ball. Alemdar Erdemir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Sancar Aktemur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Garmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kandemir Özdilek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hürkan İftihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ibrahim Kutluay in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alemdar Erdemir hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Tacettin Revha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hürkan İftihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ibrahim Kutluay came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibrahim Kutluay couldn't finish the play. Nicklas Garmo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR had played much better football throughout.
