When Şansal Belge fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EAB POWERFC's protests and gave Şansal Belge a yellow card for diving instead. Şansal Belge kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. With his leg Ferdi İlkan managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Bursaspor's Frode Grotle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 10th minute, Bursaspor's Frode Grotle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ferdi İlkan. Ferdi İlkan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Mustafa Taş in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferdi İlkan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, EAB POWERFC's Ferdi İlkan got control of the ball when Frode Grotle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferdi İlkan made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Frode Grotle sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Bursaspor booed when EAB POWERFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Gökalp Vala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frode Grotle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arif Tugay İlksel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ferdi İlkan made a huge save. Ferdi İlkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frode Grotle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferdi İlkan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mustafa Taş in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Bursaspor's Arif Tugay İlksel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdi İlkan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frode Grotle was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Arif Tugay İlksel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Tugay İlksel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdi İlkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the game, Frode Grotle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ferdi İlkan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute Mustafa Taş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdi İlkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kazım Uzhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdi İlkan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kazım Uzhan ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee ended the match the Bursaspor players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
