VAKFIKEBİR FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hando Lillemets was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hulusi Sabuncu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ogün Böke, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, VAKFIKEBİR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Turabi Karhan came free, but Hulusi Sabuncu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Turabi Karhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hando Lillemets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of VAKFIKEBİR FC booed when Genç FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdülhak Şendoğan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Hando Lillemets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hulusi Sabuncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hulusi Sabuncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hando Lillemets in the 34th minute of the match. Garip Toper charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garip Toper the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 48 minutes into the match, VAKFIKEBİR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hando Lillemets came free, but Hulusi Sabuncu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Nejat Baysungur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th play minute Turabi Karhan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hulusi Sabuncu. 1-4. In the 63rd minute, Abdulhamit İşkembeci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genç FK's Celalettin Taif was substituted for Abdülhak Şendoğan. After 64 played minutes VAKFIKEBİR FC got a freekick which was hit by Abdulhamit İşkembeci. After having played for 67 minutes, Zeki Kutberk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genç FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeki Kutberk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, Turabi Karhan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Genç FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. If Hando Lillemets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Genç FK's Hando Lillemets dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. When Genç FK's Hando Lillemets in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VAKFIKEBİR FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hando Lillemets in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hulusi Sabuncu saved VAKFIKEBİR FC from getting behind. Turabi Karhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulusi Sabuncu having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play VAKFIKEBİR FC's Abdulhamit İşkembeci was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the final whistle sounded Genç FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than VAKFIKEBİR FC.
