The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Borussia Dortmund BVB's Taner Ethem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund BVB from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute, Kağan Özok reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Taner Ethem. The goal made the score 2-0. 10 minutes into the match, Yetkin Erginay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taner Ethem. Borussia Dortmund BVB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yetkin Erginay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Wilfredo Bengolea scored 4-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taner Ethem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Taner Ethem came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Elazizspor's Kağan Özok. But to his dismay, Kağan Özok quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Wilfredo Bengolea put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Taner Ethem. 23 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Bengolea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Taner Ethem, 7-0. In the 27th minute Wilfredo Bengolea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taner Ethem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Borussia Dortmund BVB's Taner Ethem got control of the ball when Zsolt Kis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Kağan Özok cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Taner Ethem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yetkin Erginay in the 34th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund BVB's goalkeeper Taner Ethem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zsolt Kis took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taner Ethem. Taner Ethem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jass Kapella in the 41st minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund BVB's goalkeeper Taner Ethem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taner Ethem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jass Kapella, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund BVB's Faruk Münir got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Elazizspor's Zsolt Kis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Taner Ethem. That made the score 10-0 after 46 minutes of play.

Wilfredo Bengolea succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 11-0. 55 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund BVB's goal looked a bit too open when Kağan Özok came free, but Taner Ethem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taner Ethem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zsolt Kis, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Taner Ethem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Bengolea's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Kağan Özok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taner Ethem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Jass Kapella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. Taner Ethem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zsolt Kis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borussia Dortmund BVB's Taner Ethem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Bengolea in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Kağan Özok cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 17-0. Taner Ethem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute, Jass Kapella ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Taner Ethem was frozen by the shot and now it was 18-0. 84 minutes into the game, Elazizspor's Wilfredo Bengolea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Taner Ethem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 19-0. Borussia Dortmund BVB's Taner Ethem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kağan Özok in the 89th minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, Elazizspor's Jass Kapella made it 20-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Taner Ethem was left in no man's land by his defense there! Borussia Dortmund BVB's Taner Ethem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feyyaz Okyar in the 94th minute of play. Wilfredo Bengolea scored 21-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taner Ethem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
