When Mehmet Emin Kayacan fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CEBE's protests and gave Mehmet Emin Kayacan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CEBE getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mehmet Emin Kayacan hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Seyfettin Remzi's late challenge caught a Istanbulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CEBE reached it. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Eyüp Üstündağ sped through Istanbulls's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Berker Eroğlu.
