Mustafa Ali Sadiray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Rufio, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Numan Çeliksu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Kırıkkale United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Mehmet Ali Özdinç hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Alparslan Müftüoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Ali Sadiray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ant Zeyrek hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Carmelo Rufio struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mustafa Ali Sadiray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kırıkkale United. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alparslan Müftüoğlu in the 27th minute of play forced Bayat's goalkeeper Mustafa Ali Sadiray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustafa Ali Sadiray didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alparslan Müftüoğlu went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 38th match minute, Bayat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragıp Raif to maneuver through the defense. If Alparslan Müftüoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Kırıkkale United got a freekick which was hit by Zülfü Toköz. In the 45th minute, Namık Kemal Öktuna made a precise shot to the right of Bahtiyar Tokdemir. Kırıkkale United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ziya Soysal to make the kick off. When Alparslan Müftüoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Kırıkkale United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alparslan Müftüoğlu couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Erberk Vahap hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emrullah Totuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rdth minute of the game Alparslan Müftüoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bayat's Mustafa Ali Sadiray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Kırıkkale United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Vilhelm Finsberg hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Emrullah Totuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alparslan Müftüoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Ali Sadiray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Kırıkkale United's Bahtiyar Tokdemir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güralp Sökmen in the 78th minute of play. In the 94th minute Namık Kemal Öktuna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahtiyar Tokdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kırıkkale United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
