In the 23rd minute of the match, Ferid Songur got a very nice opportunity to score, but Romeo Furman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The tension between the Pasabahce FK and the Galatasaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Ceyhun Nesim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Göktuğ Eker struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Romeo Furman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute Ferid Songur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sungur Civanbaht hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Ferid Songur might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeo Furman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferid Songur ran back to his position shaking his head. İbrahim Efe Paye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilario Erramun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamber Tuyan to maneuver through the defense. When Ferid Songur came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferid Songur couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Hilario Erramun took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for İbrahim Efe Paye to make any attempt to save it. Romeo Furman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferid Songur in the 85th minute of the match. A collision led to Pasabahce FK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gazanfer Baykutay hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pasabahce FK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
