The supporters of Abazor United booed when VanSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceyhan Tanırcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruud Wollans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vefa Cansal in the 5th minute of play. Serhat Tanaltan took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruud Wollans. Ruud Wollans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ruud Wollans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vefa Cansal in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, VanSpor's Ruud Wollans got control of the ball when Serhat Tanaltan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yunus Topuz got free with Ruud Wollans in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Özen Sebih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İshak Özdek in the 23rd minute of the match. Özen Sebih didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from İshak Özdek went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serhat Tanaltan got free with Ruud Wollans in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serhat Tanaltan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ruud Wollans firmly grabbed it by the left post. 31 minutes into the match, VanSpor's goal looked a bit too open when Vefa Cansal came free, but Ruud Wollans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VanSpor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Vefa Cansal scored to the left of an out of position Ruud Wollans, making the score, 3-1. In the 44th minute Vefa Cansal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruud Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Özen Sebih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceyhan Tanırcan in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vefa Cansal in the 54th minute of play forced VanSpor's goalkeeper Ruud Wollans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abazor United's Özen Sebih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceyhan Tanırcan in the 93rd minute of play. Ahmet Turan Küdüs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruud Wollans having to interfere.
