With an all-out effort, Genç Oğlanlar's Münir Usbay threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Halis Yatman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 6th minute, Arif Memduh Nabi made a precise shot to the right of Aytuğ Kelim. Genç Oğlanlar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Aytuğ Kelim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Memduh Nabi in the 9th minute of play. Aytuğ Kelim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Memduh Nabi in the 11th minute of the match. Aytuğ Kelim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ünal Revan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes, Ahmet İlke Pekalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genç Oğlanlar and the Mechanic Athletic Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Genç Oğlanlar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet İlke Pekalp to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Genç Oğlanlar's goal looked a bit too open when Ünal Revan came free, but Aytuğ Kelim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mechanic Athletic Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Aykut Masum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aytuğ Kelim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aytuğ Kelim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aykut Masum went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute Aykut Masum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aytuğ Kelim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Genç Oğlanlar's goal looked a bit too open when Aykut Masum came free, but Aytuğ Kelim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustafa Kemal Tuğtaşı to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Mechanic Athletic Club's Cezmi Toralp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aytuğ Kelim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Genç Oğlanlar's Aytuğ Kelim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aykut Masum in the 58th minute of play. Aytuğ Kelim came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Mechanic Athletic Club's Ünal Revan. But to his dismay, Ünal Revan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Ünal Revan took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aytuğ Kelim. Aytuğ Kelim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. After some careless play in the Genç Oğlanlar defense, Murathan Öveç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aytuğ Kelim. The Genç Oğlanlar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aytuğ Kelim should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Genç Oğlanlar's Aytuğ Kelim got control of the ball when Murathan Öveç tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mechanic Athletic Club's Aykut Masum slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aytuğ Kelim. That made the score 0-11 after 74 minutes of play. A collision led to Genç Oğlanlar getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ceyhun Özkok hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ünal Revan in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aytuğ Kelim saved Genç Oğlanlar from getting behind. Çağan Bayraktaroğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Aytuğ Kelim made a huge save. Aytuğ Kelim came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mechanic Athletic Club's Murathan Öveç. But to his dismay, Murathan Öveç quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. 89 minutes into the match, Genç Oğlanlar's goal looked a bit too open when Ünal Revan came free, but Aytuğ Kelim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Genç Oğlanlar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gökalp Perker to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ünal Revan in the 94th minute of play forced Genç Oğlanlar's goalkeeper Aytuğ Kelim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Aykut Masum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Aytuğ Kelim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded Mechanic Athletic Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Genç Oğlanlar.
