The referee ignored Bor-Celona's protests and gave Kuddusî Nebi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bor-Celona's Kuddusî Nebi got a free kick in the 10th minute. With his leg Kuddusî Akova managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when GALATASARAY's Hacı Demirdelen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Hacı Demirdelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, Bor-Celona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuddusî Nebi to maneuver through the defense. GALATASARAY's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anıl Ozan Erzan in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hacı Demirdelen in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kuddusî Akova prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 minutes, Battal Cüneyt Binışık mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bor-Celona and the GALATASARAY players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Bor-Celona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Battal Cüneyt Binışık didn't get a good kick on the ball. Besim Selman's late challenge caught a Bor-Celona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Besim Selman helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Besim Selman got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Hilmi Türkoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Berke Uğuz. In the 36th minute of the match Kadri Erbay shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Barovero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kemalettin Ağaoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Anıl Ozan Erzan made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Barovero. GALATASARAY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 44th minute Anıl Ozan Erzan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bor-Celona's Kuddusî Nebi got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Bor-Celona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kuddusî Nebi made the kick off in the second half. Kuddusî Nebi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kuddusî Akova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilmi Türkoğlu in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 59th minute, GALATASARAY's Besim Selman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Besim Selman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GALATASARAY protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Besim Selman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 60 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kadri Erbay. In the 66th minute, Kuddusî Nebi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Barovero. The goal made the score 0-2. Bor-Celona's Rahim Şatıroğlu was substituted for Battal Cüneyt Binışık. If Hilmi Türkoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. A hard shot 96 in the game by Özgün Uçma from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Barovero managed to make a qualified save. GALATASARAY's players were relieved. After 98 minutes GALATASARAY's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kadri Erbay who took care of the corner kick.
