A collision led to Erdem SK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ahmet Kutsi Ruzi hit a great ball. In the 9th match minute, Erdem SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kutlu Mansur to maneuver through the defense. Ensar Selman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurtuluş Gariboğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Orhan Seyfi Oğuztan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Oinaz in the 14th minute of play. 21 minutes in the game, Kurtuluş Gariboğlu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ensar Selman having to interfere. Erdem SK's Ensar Selman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurtuluş Gariboğlu in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Faik Bahçıvan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erdem SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Orhan Seyfi Oğuztan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faik Bahçıvan in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Yiğit Omural shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orhan Seyfi Oğuztan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kurtuluş Gariboğlu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ensar Selman. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. When Ahmet İlhan Vecihi fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erdem SK's protests and gave Ahmet İlhan Vecihi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Falanfilan booed when Erdem SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet İlhan Vecihi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ensar Selman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurtuluş Gariboğlu in the 45th minute of play. Orhan Seyfi Oğuztan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabit Özbilir in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kurtuluş Gariboğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. When Kurtuluş Gariboğlu came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Falanfilan fans jumped to their feet. Orhan Seyfi Oğuztan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soner Kızıl in the 94th minute of play forced Erdem SK's goalkeeper Ensar Selman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kutlu Mansur's late challenge caught a Falanfilan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kutlu Mansur helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Kutlu Mansur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Kurtuluş Gariboğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falanfilan's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurtuluş Gariboğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ensar Selman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Falanfilan players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
