If Semavi Özek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fenerbahce FC's Güney Mengüalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muharrem Tuz in the 11th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Basyayla's goalkeeper Ahmet Baki Öz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marius Payet. The supporters of Fenerbahce FC booed when Basyayla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güvenç Başkara didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Giray Semin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Basyayla's Ahmet Baki Öz. Ahmet Baki Öz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Güvenç Başkara's late challenge caught a Fenerbahce FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Güvenç Başkara helped the player get up and apologised. Güvenç Başkara hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th match minute, Fenerbahce FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Payet to maneuver through the defense. Semavi Özek had several of the Basyayla's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 46 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Ahmet Baki Öz as he didn't even see the shot coming. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Semavi Özek made the kick off in the second half. When Muharrem Tuz came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Basyayla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muharrem Tuz couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Baki Öz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semavi Özek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Basyayla's goal looked a bit too open when Semavi Özek came free, but Ahmet Baki Öz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Basyayla's Berkay Uluçkan got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 69thth minute of the game Muharrem Tuz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahce FC's Güney Mengüalp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 70 in the game by Muharrem Tuz from a close distance when the talented Güney Mengüalp managed to make a qualified save. Fenerbahce FC's players were relieved. Ahmet Baki Öz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Payet in the 80th minute of the match. Boğaçhan Sargın kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Muharrem Tuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Fenerbahce FC's Güney Mengüalp got control of the ball when Muharrem Tuz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Fenerbahce FC's Giray Semin made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Baki Öz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Fenerbahce FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
