The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramazan Tekinsoy got free with Armağan Sabahaddin in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferenc Sóti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Recai Guftar in the 16th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Ramazan Tekinsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armağan Sabahaddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MaRaBa booed when TRABZONSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necat İhtiyar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramazan Tekinsoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramazan Tekinsoy to strike the kick off in the second half. Armağan Sabahaddin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramazan Tekinsoy went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Göktuğ Kutsal came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the TRABZONSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göktuğ Kutsal couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the TRABZONSPOR defense, Ramazan Tekinsoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armağan Sabahaddin. The TRABZONSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armağan Sabahaddin should have stopped the shot.
