Spectators: 7184 (Terracing: 5810, Seating: 1224, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ertuğrul Karar took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Joop Ploeger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the TRABZONSPOR defense, Doğuhan Özerek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armağan Sabahaddin. The TRABZONSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armağan Sabahaddin should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Hulusi Tümerkin got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of TRABZONSPOR booed when Maltepegenç was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökhun Evcimen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gökhun Evcimen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Armağan Sabahaddin. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Gökhun Evcimen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armağan Sabahaddin. TRABZONSPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gökhun Evcimen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 28th minute, Hüsmen Eygül reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armağan Sabahaddin. The goal made the score 4-0. In the 31st minute, Corrado Toppi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asım Arif Okcun was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Maltepegenç's zone, Göktuğ Kutsal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asım Arif Okcun came out of the goal and Göktuğ Kutsal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. TRABZONSPOR's Armağan Sabahaddin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save TRABZONSPOR from getting a goal against them. After 41 played minutes TRABZONSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Hulusi Tümerkin. Armağan Sabahaddin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gökhun Evcimen in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Veysel Şahbey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Armağan Sabahaddin, 5-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğuhan Özerek in the 56th minute of play forced TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper Armağan Sabahaddin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Üzeyir Nasreddin got a free kick in the 59th minute. 67 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Hüsmen Eygül came free, but Armağan Sabahaddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, TRABZONSPOR's Necat İhtiyar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Necat İhtiyar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of TRABZONSPOR protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Necat İhtiyar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Necat İhtiyar got a free kick in the 71st minute. Armağan Sabahaddin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doğuhan Özerek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armağan Sabahaddin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğuhan Özerek in the 76th minute of play. TRABZONSPOR's Armağan Sabahaddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüsmen Eygül in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Maltepegenç booed when TRABZONSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Üzeyir Nasreddin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armağan Sabahaddin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hüsmen Eygül went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. Benedykt Ostrowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Asım Arif Okcun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Armağan Sabahaddin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gökhun Evcimen, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Veysel Şahbey came free, but Armağan Sabahaddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Asım Arif Okcun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Arbaszewski in the 96th minute of play. TRABZONSPOR's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
