The crowd rose to their feet as FENERBAHÇE SK's Titan Palermo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dursun Dikmen. That made the score 3-0 after 37 minutes of play. In the 40th minute, Semavi Beysun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamit Acabay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Selman Tanyolaç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
