Dursun Dikmen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Hasan Türksan in the 15th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by İsmail Hakkı Makbul in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mamma Li Turchi's Yağızhan Serdengeçti. In the 19th minute, Şahmat Donetsk's Üzeyir Cingöz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Üzeyir Cingöz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Şahmat Donetsk protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Üzeyir Cingöz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Şahmat Donetsk's Üzeyir Cingöz got a free kick in the 19th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Mamma Li Turchi's Yağızhan Serdengeçti tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Şahmat Donetsk got a freekick which was hit by Hüsmen Tanbolat. If Yavuz Selim Kocaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamit Acabay in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bahadır Tezkan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 41 played minutes Şahmat Donetsk got a freekick which was hit by Yusuf Uluçam. Yavuz Selim Kocaman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dursun Dikmen made a huge save. When Ahmet Hasan Türksan fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mamma Li Turchi's protests and gave Ahmet Hasan Türksan a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmet Hasan Türksan kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Hasan Türksan to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Hamit Acabay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bahadır Tezkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamit Acabay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yağızhan Serdengeçti in the 62nd minute of play forced Şahmat Donetsk's goalkeeper Dursun Dikmen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Hamit Acabay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mamma Li Turchi's Bahadır Tezkan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Kılıçalp Tankut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Şahmat Donetsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kılıçalp Tankut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hamit Acabay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bahadır Tezkan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Kasım Tanberk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mamma Li Turchi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Şahmat Donetsk the free kick. A collision led to Mamma Li Turchi getting a freekick after 91 minutes play.
