Bahadır Tezkan went to the wrong direction when Mete Mutluay was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Mete Mutluay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bahadır Tezkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arif Oğuz Saruhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Hasan Türksan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Mete Mutluay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bahadır Tezkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Soner Ortaç in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Mamma Li Turchi's goal looked a bit too open when Soner Ortaç came free, but Bahadır Tezkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mamma Li Turchi's Bahadır Tezkan got control of the ball when Mete Mutluay tried to sneak it across the goal line.
